Biography

I am based in Scotland and have an extensive background in the creative arts spanning acting & performance, theatre, choreography, various styles of dance & movement, workshop facilitation, and writing.

I began my training at Ayrshire College where I studied Acting and Performance, later moving on to study Performance at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) where I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree. During my training I performed in a range of contemporary plays, pantomimes, student-led projects, and musical theatre productions; as part of my degree I choreographed the end-of-year student production.

I became a freelancer in 2015 when I began tutoring dance at a local youth theatre as part of their Musical Theatre classes. Since then I have worked at various youth theatres providing choreography and movement direction for shows, as well as delivering drama and theatre classes.

I have experience facilitating drama- and theatre-based workshops in theatres, schools, and community centres, working with adults and young people of all ages. . I also have experience in devising and developing new and original works of theatre.

I am currently based in the Western Isles and, in addition to continuing my freelance work, am employed as an Arts Worker at An Lanntair. Here I lead movements and dance sessions for young people and their families around the islands.
