My final year at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) saw me undertake the role of choreographer for The Addams Family as part of my creative project unit. This was my first time choreographing a full-length musical production and involved many more hours of research and preparation that I had initially expected.

As a side note, I was also cast as Morticia for the Saturday Matinee performance, and so juggling teaching choreography as well as rehearsing lines was a whole new challenge in itself, but one I am so glad I took on.

I learned a great deal through taking on this project; time-management, delivering choreography effectively and efficiently, and what goes in to choreographing a musical production.

It was very rewarding getting to watch my choreography brought to life on stage each performance by the talented cast, and to this day it is still something I am very proud of.
